The Beni Ouarain, a carpet in vogue
Among Moroccan carpets, the Beni Ouarain carpets are the object of a singular admiration and infatuation. If you don’t know the name of these rugs, you will recognize them by their chic and modern look. You’ve probably seen them while flipping through home magazines, on TV or maybe on the social networks of the hottest influencers.
The Origin of the Beni Ouarain
The Beni Ouarain carpet originates from the mountainous regions of the Middle Atlas in Morocco by the Aït Ouaraïn tribes. The Beni Ouarain Moroccan wool carpet is woven in a soft and thick natural wool. It is now very popular for its clean and minimalist style and for its aesthetics and comfort. A minimalist style implies to have pure colors like Black and White or Beige. It is the most famous for the quality of its wool and the history of its tribe. Handwoven, they feature large rectangular sizes, geometric patterns and a minimalist style.
