Argile is a custom terracotta Berber rug whose design recalls an arrangement of small irregular paving stones. Rectangles and squares with free outlines stand out from a lower weave in shades of clay, earthy pink and beige. This play of heights gives the rug a sculpted presence, visible from afar and pleasant to discover up close.

The palette of Argile recalls terracotta and natural plasters. It brings a warm colour to a living room while staying easy to match. An ecru sofa, oak, walnut or a stone table bring out its shades. In a bedroom, its pinkish and earthy tones go well with off-whites and beiges.

In the living room, choose a size that connects the sofa and armchairs while keeping walkways clear. In the bedroom, measure how far you want the rug to extend around the bed. Leave part of the pattern visible to enjoy the full composition.

Made from sheep’s wool, this rug is hand-knotted on a traditional loom in Morocco. The close-up photos show the fibres, pile and finish of the model. Light and the direction of the fibres slightly change how the shades look.

Each rug is made to order. The palette and spirit of the design are kept; small variations in pattern and dimensions are part of the craft. The motifs are adapted to the proportions of the size you choose.

Select a size to see its price. 15 sizes are available, from 100 × 150 cm to 400 × 500 cm. Dimensions are given without fringes. For another size, a colour adjustment or a fringe-free finish, contact Leslosanges before weaving begins.

Allow 4 to 8 weeks for weaving, washing and finishing. The schedule depends on size and customisation. If you have a specific date in mind, contact us before ordering. The rug is then shipped from France.

Vacuum on low power without a rotating brush, avoiding the fringes. Blot spills quickly with a clean cloth and do not rub. Turn the rug regularly to spread wear. Leave deep cleaning to a professional wool rug cleaner.

Yes, a specific size can be quoted before production.

The images show the reference model. The design is adapted to the size you choose and shows the slight differences that come with handwork.

A design for your interior
