Chevron Mandarine is a custom orange and ecru Berber rug with a design that is both simple and vibrant. Thousands of small orange and ecru touches line up diagonally and meet along a central spine, like the veins of a leaf or ears of wheat in a field. From a distance, the rug glows with a bright mandarin colour; up close, it reveals a rhythm of fine, regular stripes.

Blending the two shades softens the orange and gives it a heathered depth. Depending on the light and the direction of the pile, the chevrons look sharper or more blended. At both ends, a woven orange and ecru band leads into the natural fringes of the rug shown.

Handmade in wool in Morocco

Chevron Mandarine is hand-knotted in sheep’s wool on a traditional loom in Morocco. Its generous pile, close to that of Beni Ouarain rugs, has a soft texture you can see in the close-up photos. On the back, the orange and ecru threads form a tight weave, the sign of careful work.

Each rug may show slight variations in pattern, shade and dimensions. The photos show the reference model: your rug will keep the orange and ecru palette and the spirit of the chevron design, adapted to the proportions of the size you choose. Colours may also look different depending on lighting and your screen settings.

The selector offers 15 square and rectangular sizes, from 100 × 150 cm to 400 × 500 cm. Select a size to see its price. In a living room, choose a size large enough to connect the sofa and armchairs. In a bedroom, measure how far you want the rug to extend around the bed to find the most comfortable size.

Before ordering, you can mark out the dimensions on the floor with masking tape. This lets you check where the rug will sit, how doors open and how people move around the furniture. Dimensions are given without fringes.

How to care for your wool rug

Vacuum on low power, without a rotating brush, avoiding the fringes. Turn the rug from time to time to spread wear and light exposure. If you spill a liquid, blot it immediately with a clean cloth without rubbing. Do not pull on loose fibres; trim their ends carefully if needed. A thick pile may shed a few fibres during the first weeks: this is normal for a wool rug. A professional rug cleaner can carry out a deep clean.
